1 Duke, James Buchanan
(1856-1925) Дьюк, Джеймс БьюкэнанПромышленник. После Гражданской войны [ Civil War] разбогател на выращивании табака и табачной торговле. Начав производство сигарет, усовершенствовал машину для их закрутки. В 1890 создал компанию "Американ тобакко" [American Tobacco Co], поглотившую ряд табачных фирм, но распущенную в 1911 по антитрестовскому законодательству.
